Upon scoring a critical threat, you can target a particular area of your opponent’s body. You take a -4 penalty on your attack roll to confirm the critical hit. If you succeed on this roll, in addition to dealing extra damage, your opponent also suffers from one of the following conditions.
|Leg1||Target’s speed is reduced by half, and it cannot run or charge.|
|Arm, claw, talon, or tentacle1||Target takes a -2 penalty on attack rolls.|
|Spine, head, or neck||Target is dazed for 1 round.|
|Wing||Target’s fly speed is reduced by half, and maneuverability is reduced by one category. If target’s maneuverability is clumsy, the target is forced to land.|
1 If the target has a natural attack that is part of its leg (such as a horse’s hoof, or a sphinx’s claw attack), you must choose whether to affect its attack or movement when taking a called shot.
Most conditions last for 24 hours, unless otherwise specified, or until the creature is successfully treated with a DC 15 Heal check, or until it receives at least 1 point of magical curing.
