Call Shot

Upon scoring a critical threat, you can target a particular area of your opponent’s body. You take a -4 penalty on your attack roll to confirm the critical hit. If you succeed on this roll, in addition to dealing extra damage, your opponent also suffers from one of the following conditions.

Area Condition
Leg1 Target’s speed is reduced by half, and it cannot run or charge.
Arm, claw, talon, or tentacle1 Target takes a -2 penalty on attack rolls.
Spine, head, or neck Target is dazed for 1 round.
Wing Target’s fly speed is reduced by half, and maneuverability is reduced by one category. If target’s maneuverability is clumsy, the target is forced to land.

1 If the target has a natural attack that is part of its leg (such as a horse’s hoof, or a sphinx’s claw attack), you must choose whether to affect its attack or movement when taking a called shot.

Most conditions last for 24 hours, unless otherwise specified, or until the creature is successfully treated with a DC 15 Heal check, or until it receives at least 1 point of magical curing.
